Can you provide CPR training at our workplace?
Yes. Northern Nevada CPR provides mobile, hands-on CPR, AED, First Aid, and BLS training at workplaces and organizations throughout Reno and Northern Nevada. We bring the instructor, training equipment, manikins, and AED trainers directly to your location, so employees can complete their training without traveling to a training center.
What CPR certifications do you offer for businesses?
We offer American Heart Association training and certification for CPR & AED, BLS, First Aid, Pediatric CPR & First Aid, and Bloodborne Pathogens. We can help you choose the appropriate course based on your employees' roles and certification requirements.
Can you train a small group of employees?
Yes. We provide private on-site training for small teams as well as larger organizations. Whether you need training for 2 employees or an entire team, we can help you find the best training option. Employees may also attend an upcoming public class if private on-site training isn't the best fit.
Can you train our employees during the workday?
Yes. We offer flexible scheduling and can work with your business to find a training date and time that works for your team. Weekday and weekend training may be available depending on scheduling.
How long does a business CPR class take?
Training time depends on the course your employees need. CPR-only courses are generally shorter than combined CPR and First Aid training, while BLS and other courses have their own training requirements. When you request training, we'll let you know how much time to plan for your specific course.
Do employees receive an American Heart Association certification card?
Yes. Students who successfully complete the required course requirements receive their American Heart Association eCard. CPR and BLS certifications are valid for two years.
What does our business need to provide for on-site training?
Your business provides a suitable training space with enough room for students to participate in hands-on practice. Northern Nevada CPR will take care of the rest.
Do you offer blended learning for businesses?
Yes. Blended Learning combines required online coursework with an in-person hands-on skills session. This can be a convenient option for businesses that want employees to complete the online portion on their own schedule before attending the skills session. The required AHA online course is purchased separately from the hands-on skills session.
