How long does AHA BLS certification training take?

Initial American Heart Association (AHA) BLS Provider training takes approximately 4 hours. BLS renewal training typically takes about 3.5 hours. Actual course length may vary depending on the class and participants’ completion of required skills.

How long is AHA BLS certification valid?

An AHA BLS Provider certification card is valid for two years. Participants must successfully complete the course requirements, including the required skills evaluation, to receive their certification.

We bring the instructor and training equipment to your location, allowing your team to complete hands-on training together without traveling to a public class. Flexible scheduling is available for small and large groups.

What is the difference between BLS and CPR certification?

BLS (Basic Life Support) is designed primarily for healthcare professionals and others whose jobs require advanced CPR skills. It covers high-quality CPR for adults, children, and infants, AED use, ventilation, choking relief, and team-based resuscitation. General CPR courses focus on CPR and AED skills for specific audiences and may not meet healthcare employer or clinical program requirements. Check your employer or school’s requirements before choosing a course.
