Frequently Asked Questions About Public CPR Classes in Reno
Is this an online CPR class?
No. Public classes are in-person, hands-on training with an American Heart Association-certified instructor.
Do I need to bring my own CPR equipment?
No. Training equipment and materials are provided.
How long is the CPR class?
The Adult Only CPR class is approximately 1.5 hours, the Adult, Child & Infant CPR class is approximately 3 hours. The Adult, Child & Infant CPR & First Aid class is approximately 5 hours.
How long is my certification valid?
American Heart Association certification is valid for 2 years.
Will I receive a certification card?
Yes. Participants who successfully complete the course requirements receive an American Heart Association certification card.
Can I take this class if I don't have a group?
Yes. That's exactly what public classes are designed for. You can register as an individual or with a small group.
What if my employer requires a specific CPR course?
Check your employer's requirements before registering. If you're unsure which course you need, contact us and we'll help you determine the appropriate class.
Can I reschedule if something comes up?
One reschedule is permitted when requested at least 24 hours before class. Requests made less than 24 hours before class and no-shows are not eligible for a refund.
What if I need CPR and First Aid?
Choose the Adult, Child & Infant CPR & First Aid class.
What if several people from my workplace need training?
If several employees need certification, a private on-site class may be more convenient. We can bring the training to your workplace or another approved training location.
