The BLS course is designed for healthcare professionals and first responders who need to recognize and response to life-threatening emergencies in a clinical or professional setting. This course follows the most current AHA guidelines and emphasizes high-quality CPR, effective team dynamics, and critical thinking during cardiac and respiratory emergencies.
Who should take this course?
This course is intended for healthcare providers and professional rescuers, including nurses, physicians, medical and dental staff, EMS personnel, in-home caregivers, and other clinical professionals who require BLS certification for their role.
The CPR and First Aid courses are designed to equip participants with the knowledge, skills, and confidence to respond effectively to an emergency situation.
The CPR course will focus on providing high-quality CPR, use of an AED, and providing relief of choking.
The First Aid course will focus on scene safety, basic first aid skills, relief of choking.
Who should take this course?
This course is ideal for workplace safety teams, childcare providers, educators, coaches, caregivers, community members, and anyone who wants to be better prepared to help in an emergency. No prior medical knowledge is required.
The AHA Blended Learning course combines online education with hands-on skills practice. The online section is self-paced and must be completed prior to the in-person section. The in-person skills session will include hands-on practice, instructor feedback, and skills testing.
