What types of classes do you offer?
We offer mobile CPR, AED, First Aid, Pediatric CPR, and Basic Life Support (BLS) training, including both initial certification and recertification courses. All classes are taught in accordance with current American Heart Association (AHA) guidelines.
What areas do you serve?
We provide CPR and First Aid training throughout Reno, Sparks, Spanish Springs, Cold Springs, Carson City, Minden, Fernley, Fallon, and the surrounding Northern Nevada communities.
Is this class AHA (American Heart Association) approved?
All of our courses are American Heart Association (AHA)–approved and are taught by an American Heart Association certified instructor.
Can you come to my workplace?
Yes. We specialize in mobile, on-site CPR and First Aid training, so your team doesn’t need to travel. We bring all required training equipment directly to your location. All we need is a small area for hands-on skills practice and access to Wi-Fi.
Where can I get CPR certified in Reno or Sparks?
You can get CPR certified with Northern Nevada CPR, a fully mobile, American Heart Association certified training provider. We bring CPR, First Aid, AED, and BLS training directly to your location in Reno, Sparks, and the surrounding Northern Nevada areas. Email: northernnevadacpr@gmail.com

What should I bring to CPR class?
This class includes hands-on, physical activity, so please dress in comfortable clothing and wear shoes that allow for easy movement. If you wear glasses, be sure to bring them with you. Participants with longer hair may also wish to bring a hair tie to keep hair out of their face during skills practice.

How long is CPR certification valid?
All American Heart Association (AHA) CPR, First Aid, and Basic Life Support (BLS) certifications are valid for two years. We also offer renewal courses to help you stay current and compliant.
How soon will I receive my certification card?
American Heart Association (AHA) eCards are typically issued the same day as your class and are sent directly to your email. You may download, print, or forward your eCard to your employer or school as needed.
What happens if I don't pass the class?
We work closely with each student to improve skills and review the material until they feel confident to retake the test. If a student is still unable to pass, we offer another class for an additional attempt at certification.
Which course is right for me?
Our BLS course is specifically designed for healthcare providers, while our Heartsaver courses cater to non-healthcare providers: babysitters, educators, those needing OSHA certifications, and the general public. If you're uncertain about which class to select, feel free to reach out and we'll assist you in finding the right course for your needs.
What if I need to reschedule?
To avoid any fees, please provide at least 24 hours’ notice if you need to reschedule your course. If you need to cancel, kindly contact us directly.
What is the youngest age allowed in CPR class?
Participants of all ages are welcome in our courses. As long as they can emotionally handle the material and actively participate in hands-on CPR practice, they are encouraged to join.
Do you offer night and weekend classes?
Yes! We offer flexible scheduling, including evening and weekend classes, to accommodate the busy schedules of organizations. Contact us to find a time that works best for your team.
Will my employeer accept this class?
Many employers require their staff to hold CPR and/or First Aid certifications. We recommend checking with your employer for specific requirements or guidelines.
Do you offer BLS courses for healthcare professionals?
Yes. Our Basic Life Support (BLS) for Healthcare Providers course covers high-quality CPR for adults, children, and infants, proper use of an AED, choking relief, and other essential life support skills.
Do you offer pediatric CPR and First Aid Training?
We provide Pediatric CPR and First Aid courses designed for caregivers, educators, and anyone responsible for the safety of children. Our training follows current AHA guidelines and includes hands-on practice to ensure confidence in real-life situations.
Can you accommodate students with disabilities or special needs?
We strive to make our courses accessible to all participants. Please let us know in advance about any accommodations or special needs so that we can ensure a safe and effective learning experience for everyone.
Are your courses OSHA compliant?
Yes. Our CPR and First Aid courses meet OSHA standards for workplace safety training. Completing these courses can help your organization comply with OSHA regulations and promote a safer work environment.
I lost the email to look up my ecard. What should I do?
You can always contact us-we are happy to help.
You can also go to AHA eCards verification and enter your first name, last name, and email to access your card.
If you have your ecard number, you can also look your card up that way.
How can I verify my employees AHA card?
Will my company receive an insurance discount for completing the course?
Many companies require their employees to hold certifications in CPR and/or First Aid. Furthermore, certain insurers may provide premium discounts for individuals who have completed this training. It's advisable to check with your employer for additional information.
