Protecting Your Volunteers - and Your Organization
CPR and First Aid training is one of the most practical steps your organization can take to reduce liability and demonstrate a genuine duty of care.
Trained volunteers:
• Respond faster and more effectively during emergencies
• Reduce the risk of harm from delayed or incorrect response
• Help your organization demonstrate reasonable care to insurers and funders
• Feel more confident and prepared in high-pressure situations
For organizations running programs that serve children, seniors, or individuals with health conditions, having certified staff and volunteers on-site is not just a best practice - it may be expected by your insurance carrier, grant funders, or licensing bodies.

Frequently Asked Questions
Does our nonprofit or church need CPR certification? While Nevada does not require all nonprofits and churches to maintain CPR certification, many organizations choose to certify staff and volunteers as a best practice - especially those running childcare programs, youth ministries, senior outreach, or large community events. Some grant funders and insurance carriers also encourage or require it. We recommend checking with your insurance provider and any applicable licensing bodies for programs you operate.
Does your training cover infant and child CPR? Yes. Our recommended course-Adult Child Infant CPR, AED & First Aid covers CPR techniques for all three age groups. Infant and child CPR uses different hand placement, compression depth, and breath techniques than adult CPR. Your team will practice all three during the hands-on class.
When do participants receive their certification cards? Same day. Every participant receives their certification card the day of the class, so you can immediately update volunteer rosters, personnel files, or any compliance documentation.
How long is CPR certification valid? CPR, AED, and First Aid certifications are valid for 2 years. We make renewal simple - just schedule a new on-site session when your team's certifications are approaching expiration. Many organizations schedule recurring training to stay ahead of renewals automatically.
Can you accommodate evening or weekend training for volunteers? Yes. We offer flexible scheduling including mornings, afternoons, evenings, and weekends. We understand that nonprofit and church volunteers often can't train during business hours, and we build our schedule around yours.
Can you train a mix of staff and volunteers in the same session? Absolutely. Our on-site sessions are designed for groups and we can run back-to-back sessions for larger teams. Staff and volunteers can be trained together in the same class, making it easy to get your whole team certified in one visit.
